Potty Training Sucks...So laugh About it with The Potty Rocker!

So I'm not the only one who thinks Potty Training is a big joke played on parents with toddler. Like some cosmic karma for all the times our moms had to wipe our butts. Well played universe....well played.

Sometimes it gets to a point where I just want to keep her in diapers till college because I'm tired of chasing a tiny naked person with crap stuck to her butt around the house for fear of her jumping on the sofa.

Why child? why must the concept of pooping on the pot be so hard?

Should I decorate the toilet? I already decked it up with your very out detachable seat! It even has a step ladder on it! Do you need me to bedazzle that sucker too?

I have offered candy, toys, stickers, all sort of going to the potty for you. Yet on bad days, it gets dirty!

You learn as a parent that you cant let everything bother you or you will go insane. There comes a point when your "5 second rule" extends into a "10 second rule" and then follows to a "F!@$ it"

I have only been a parent for 3 1/2 years, and I am sure there are mothers out there (and fathers) who would look down on me and laugh their asses off.
"You think potty training is hard? PSH! You don't even know!"

YES! POTTY TRAINING IS HARD!

I ain't got time to sit with my kid every 20 mins on the toilet...I have a life outside of the bathroom!!!
 (and a second kid)

While I'm excited for Leks to get out of the Diaper world I know I still have 3 more years on those fluffy white clouds thanks to my son who was just born 4 1/2 months ago.

You know I've kinda lost my train on this post as it has royally de-railed.
So to bring it back...

1. Potty Training Sucks
2. Just laugh about it.

Now let get started on this CUTE idea I found on THE POTTY ROCKER

So we watched the video by Penelope and Leks screamed for me to help her make one.

We did just that!

What you will need
- Toilet Paper Rolls (empty)
-Scissors
-Colors
-Stickers
-Glue
-Paper

First your going to cut down the longs ways of the roll...

Then cut that roll again down the middle to make two small cuffs...

Then take some white paper (or what ever color you want) and cut a small shape out to be the face of your potty watch.

Then let your little artist go to town on decorating her potty watch however she/he wants!

Then take a small tab of glue and place the "face" on the cuff. Then place any kind of decorative stickers or jewels on to decorate even more! We used animal stickers :) which also helped hold the face in place while the glue dried.

There you go! Your very own Potty watch inspired by Penelope from The Potty Rocker

Thanks for reading my blog post! Stop by the Potty Rocker!!!

  3. Great review! My daughter is 3 1/2 as well and some days are awesome and some days she does not take time to stop playing with toys and go sit on the potty. We also have a son who is 4 1/2 months. It is neat that both our little ones are same age.
