Did I really Just Say that???

You know becoming a Mother has really changed who I am as a person, I never thought it would as deep as it did...but it did. Along with the hard times and the moments of wanting to run away (don't lie you know you've thought about it) there are some pretty HILARIOUS moments that come with being a parent.

The older your children get the more they turn into sponges and word for word parrots. They do things that will surprise you.

Their innocent view of the world allows them to see a different perspective to their environments.

I never thought kids would be so funny. I mean sure they can do silly little "kid things", but really when you have to chance to be around your kids 24/7/365 you notice some pretty strange things.

I wish I could just have some sort of power that allowed me to listen to my daughter thought process. Not so much Mikeys (hes 4 months old) because his thoughts are just like a mans right now.
-eat
-sleep
-poop
-repeat

However, Leks is 3 years old now, her imagination is taking off, and the world is so big she cant even grasp the largeness of it. Things in life are so simple, yet everything is filled with Every. Single. Emotion. So it can be very hard for her.

I catch myself saying things I NEVER thought I would say since becoming a parent, doing things I never thought I would do out of pure exhaustion. But that's what makes parenthood fun, the unexpected moments, the moments that are not funny but you have no sanity left so you just laugh. Not having the ability to understand your kids thought process, but realizing they actually make sense. (that is a kicker)

I went out and asked my internet Moms to help me. I asked what are some of the things you have said in your life's as parents that you cant believe came out of your mouth?

This is what I was told. I hope you enjoy!

Tessa S.
"Don't poke yourself in the eye!"
"Stop picking your sister's nose, she does not like it."
"Did you just lick the inside of my mouth?"
"Are you pooping or is that just a toot?"

Morgan P.
"Please don't stick your finger in the dogs butt"
"The dog does not have an owie.  It is his butt"
"I'm sorry that spider spanked your butt"
"Please stop bending over and trying to fart on me"

Donnie W.
"Please take your nasty school shoes out of your mouth!"
"Please take your hand out of your butt"
" No you can't have permission to touch mommy's breast"! .... (This was after I started telling her not to allow people to touch her without permission)

Ericka V.
"It's time to put your penis in your pants now"
"You may not put your bath toys in the toilet and then play with them in the bath"
"If you don't eat your lunch off your plate, why are you eating it off the floor?"

Christina E.
"No weenies on video" I just said that to my daughter this morning because she was recording the baby while I was changing him.
"Do your fingers belong up there, mister (or sometimes missy but mostly mister)?" Is a common one.

Kristen E.
"Please tell me you didn't take your diaper off again."
"Did you wipe your butt"

Jonathan L.
"Why do you have chocolate on your hand?"
"Who gave u chocolate" then you realize it's not chocolate :(

Sarah G.
"Please get your feet out of your plate."

Rebekah Z.
"Please dont eat the raw eggs."
"Please get your hand out of your diaper." (During dinner)

Kaitlyn S.
"Stop farting on your brother!" Said when baby was both in and out of the uterus.
"get your feet off of his head."
"stop peeing on me!!!" Which is always said to The Littlest Man

Jodie F.
"Please stop picking your brother's nose!"

Candice C.
"We don't get our bites from the trash can!"
"Mommy can wipe her own poo, but thank you for offering."

Neesha M.
"Take your sister's foot out of your mouth."
I must say "please stop sticking your fingers in your sister's mouth" a million times a day.

Michelle O.
"Please don't feed your sister your boogers! "

Chantel C.
"You just pooped in the yard?!?! Why would you do that?!?!"
"Because you said if I ran in and out anymore I had to stay in"

Brittnay H.
"It's not nice to try and dig out Mommy's eye."
"It's not nice to try and dig out your friends eye while he's sleeping."
"You're the only one that can feel if you need to go potty so no I can not feel your penis and tell if you have to pee."

Nicole M.
"Thanks, but I can get my own boob out of my shirt."
"No, thanks, but I don't need help undressing to take a shower."
(Those were both said within an hour of each other.)

Anna C.
"No Mommy didn't go poop, she just has hair there."

Sarah H.
"We don't put anything but food in our mouths. Biting people makes them not want to play with you. Please don't put the cat in the dryer again."

Becky B.
" I don't care if your brother told you to kiss his butt you don't actually do it in fact never kiss anyone's butt ever"

Nicole M.
"No dont eat cat food!"

Lori N.
"Please get away from the window while grabbing your penis!"

Suzanne K.
"Hold still let me suck out your boogies."

Ashley F.
"your poop is not paint"

Michelle C.
No you can not feed him with your nipples... Seriously Audrey said "I'm a girl, I can feed brother from my nipples"

Jackie C.
"Mom, don't be alarmed tomorrow if Liams poop is blue" ,
"Liam please stop rubbing your penis on the remote"
"Is this chocolate or poop?" You would be amazed at how often I say that one.

Jo M.
"Nice stabbing!" ( when Tegan was learning how to use a fork.)
"We do not lick the bottom of shoes" (both times she got strep)
"We don't drink bath water"

Christa G.
"Do not yell fuzzy tacos in public."
"Why? I'm excited!"
"Because it's 'Fuzzy's Tacos' and I said so. It's also rude to yell in public."

Joanna H.
"Please don't stick your finger in your sister's nose."
"Please leave your sister's poopies in her diaper."
"Don't stick your tongue in your sister's mouth!"

Heather V.
"People don't want to see mommy's belly"
" Don't put your penis on the toilet seat."
"Stop singing Let It Go."
"Mommy shouldn't have said "shit ".
" The cat doesn't want to play with your toys."
"Dinosaurs aren't real."
"There are no dinosaurs at the zoo".
" No, dinosaurs still aren't real. Not even a little bit ."

Maggie F.
(dad to son) "son you can touch your peepee just don't do it in front of your sister or mother"

Kelley M.
"stop stabbing you're brother and cutting his neck!" obviously with a play knife.

Seriously the things that we have come to say as parents are HILARIOUS!

I hope you enjoyed some of the posts and they made you laugh as hard as I did.

Resistance bands by Phantom fit

I'm so happy I was given the chance to review this product by Phantomfit !
I'm currently in the process of starting a new work out routine and these are AWESOME for wanting to add extra stretching a resistance to my routine.

In the package I received 4 resistance bands in sizes
*Light
*Medium
*Heavy
*X-Heavy
- With a Carrying case

As you can see the bands all have a different thickness to them to allow for a difference in resistance. You can really feel the difference when using them in your workout or stretching reps! I love to use them while I'm sitting typing posts on my blog because I essentially remain active!

I used them to stretch out my entire legs as well as my feet. I also place them on my thighs and while I sit I like to workout my gluteus. They give me a full body burn for sure!

I'm so happy that I was able to test these out, and I will be adding them to my workout routine daily. They help to give me a stretch I wouldn't feel otherwise!

What Is Bodyweight Training?

by Ryan Martin on June 29, 2014
Bodyweight training is a type of exercise that requires no equipment and involves using your bodyweight to boost your fitness. It’s extremely versatile and can be used to build muscle, improve your cardiovascular fitness, boost your balance and more. In this article I’ll be looking at the pros and cons of bodyweight training and listing some of the best bodyweight moves.

The Benefits Of Bodyweight Training

Bodyweight training is one of the most flexible forms of fitness training and because of this it has a range of unique benefits which are outlined in the list below:
  1. Versatility: Bodyweight training is extremely versatile and there are hundreds of different bodyweight exercises out there that can be used to achieve a wide range of health and fitness goals.
  1. No Equipment Required: Bodyweight training requires no equipment and this allows you to workout quickly and conveniently without having to spend any cash.
  1. Workout Anytime & Anywhere: Bodyweight training is not restricted by time or location and once you know some bodyweight exercises, you can perform them anytime and anywhere.
  1. Suits All Fitness Levels: Bodyweight training is simplistic in nature and most bodyweight moves can be performed with ease by people who have very little fitness experience. However, the intensity of bodyweight training can easily be scaled which makes it just as suitable for people with high levels of fitness.
  1. Low Impact: Bodyweight training places very little pressure on your joints, so is a perfect way to keep fit if you suffer from an inflammatory disorder or joint pain.

The Drawbacks Of Bodyweight Training

Although bodyweight training has plenty of benefits, there are some limitations to this form of exercise which are highlighted in the list below:
  1. Muscle Building: While bodyweight training can be used to build muscle, it’s not the most efficient option and if you want to pack on muscle mass, free weights are a much better choice.
  1. Muscle Power: If you want to develop explosive muscle power, you need to be lifting heavy free weights and bodyweight training won’t help you achieve this fitness goal.

Top 5 Bodyweight Exercises

Now you know about the pros and cons of bodyweight training and whether it’s right for you, it’s time to look at some specific bodyweight exercises. The list below highlights five of the best bodyweight moves:
  1. Bodyweight Squats: Bodyweight squats target all the muscles in your legs. To perform bodyweight squats, follow the instructions below:
    1. Stand with your feet a shoulder width apart.
    2. Bend your legs until your butt is parallel with your knees.
    3. Straighten your legs and return to the starting position.
    4. Repeat steps b-c for as many reps as you can manage.
  1. Burpees: Burpees are a classic cardio bodyweight exercise that strengthen and tone a range of muscles in your body. To perform burpees, follow the instructions below:
    1. Bend your knees and put your hands on the ground, making sure that they’re a shoulder width apart.
    2. Kick your legs out behind you and slowly bend your arms until your nose touches the ground.
    3. Slowly straighten your arms, kick your knees back in, then stand up and jump up in the air.
    4. When you land, repeat steps a-c for as many reps as you can manage.
  1. Planks: Planks are deceptively simple looking but one of the most effective core strengthening exercises out there. To perform planks, follow the instructions below:
    1. Kneel down and rest your forearms on the ground.
    2. Raise your knees off the ground, balance on your toes and forearms, keep your back straight and tighten your core muscles.
    3. Hold this position for as long as you can manage.
  1. Pull Ups: Pull ups are a brilliant upper body exercise that target your biceps, forearms, upper back and shoulders. To perform pull ups, follow the instructions below (you will need a pull up bar to perform this exercise):
    1. Stand under the pull up bar and grab it with both hands, making sure that your palms are facing forward and about a shoulder width apart.
    2. Slowly bend your knees, take your feet off the floor and hang with your arms and shoulders supporting your bodyweight.
    3. Slowly bend your arms and pull your body up towards the bar, stopping when your biceps are fully flexed and your chin is slightly above the bar.
    4. Slowly straighten your arms and lower your body back down to the starting position.
    5. Repeat steps c-d for as many reps as you can manage.
  1. Push Ups: Push ups are another old school bodyweight exercise that build up your chest, triceps and shoulders. To perform push ups, follow the instructions below:
    1. Kneel down and place your hands on the ground, making sure they are in line with your chest and about a shoulder width apart.
    2. Straighten your legs out behind you, balance on your toes and hands, keep your back straight and tighten your core muscles.
    3. Slowly bend your arms until your nose touches the floor.
    4. Slowly straighten your arms and return to the starting position.
    5. Repeat steps c-d for as many reps as you can manage.

Summary

Bodyweight training is an excellent addition to any fitness regime. Even if it’s not your preferred tool, the simplicity of bodyweight training makes it a perfect backup for the times when you don’t have access to any equipment but still want to workout. So learn some bodyweight moves, perfect the form and then use them whenever you please.

Baby Teether by Seahorse Shades

I have a friend who has started her own business after having her new little squishy baby. Kelly has made a great product out of a very Interesting idea. She takes woven wraps and recycles them into a whole line of new objects!

First let me just tell you how much I love this teether! It fits perfect in my ball of chubs hand, and keeps him quiet!

It comes with a wooden teething ring, sewn piece of woven wrap for more chewing options, and the coolest part being a strap to clip it on to his clothes so it doesn't fall on the ground or get lost!

The colors are just so pretty! They are bright and dark, and the material is very soft!

Here are a couple of pictures of my Chubs enjoying the teething ring from Seahorse Shades

He really enjoys it and it is the longest thing her can hold on to. everything else just falls out of his hand or he losses interest very fast. But this teether by Seahorse Shades is by far his favorite toy. Well I gotta say its my favorite baby items as well! :)

Shea Butter by Beauty by Shea

I was given the opportunity to review a product called Raw Organic Sea Butter, which come to find out has some pretty cool uses! Of course when I receive a product like this I automatically head to Pinterest to find ideas on how to use it. You can use it to make body butter, soap, conditioner, lotions, and use it in moisturizing.

I loved the way it was packaged! Is simple yet very classy!

I received 1lb from Beauty by Shea, which defiantly gives you a lot of room for creativity!

What I first tried with the Shea butter was rubbing it into my cuticles which helps to moisturize them and keep them healthy.

Then I decided to get even more creative and used some of my essential oils to make some specific body butters. Heres what I did...

Added 1 Tblsp Of coconut oil

1/4 cup of Shea Butter

Mixed them together well

added 5 drops of Serenity Oil

added 5 drops of Balance Oil

And I added 8 drops of Lavender Oil

Mixed it all together and all done! Now I have a AMAZING smelling body butter that is helpful in balancing the mind and body as well as helping with relaxation.

So I took my 3 1/2 months feet and took a small dab of butter and massaged his feet with it. Honestly I think this is way better then just putting the oil directly on him, it actually calmed him down and fell asleep for a nap shortly after rubbing it on!

SQUEASY Kids Snacker for On the Go!

I was given the opportunity to review the Squeasy Snacker, Let me tell you this little bottle is so cool! Aleksus really loved it! Plus I love it because its easy clean and mess free snacking. Who doesn't love that?!

    How cute is this?!?!

    So lets break it down...

For easy cleaning the bottle it comes apart in pieces that are easy to get to and clean. Which I love because I hate bottles that have lots of hard to get to spots you can't always get clean.

Here is a close up of how it comes apart....

Here you can see the seal that allow for it to be drip free.

The yellow piece screws off showing a red rubber seal.

Simply remove the seal (not fuss at all)

The Orange part cam come off as well but I left it on in this picture. As you can see the bottle portion is flexible and is made to be easy to squeeze for kids. Which it also really made it easy to get inside it and wash.

Aleksus loves this bottle! She found it so easy to not only eat from it, but drink from too! We tried Applesauce, yogurt, water AND juice! No fuss, No mess.

Here are some ADORABLE pictures of Aleksus enjoying her new bottle.

    "ahhhhh yummy!"

Not to forget that it makes a really good Eye Glass while drinking!

So I hope that you go check out their website! They have different colors to choose from.
