NewAir AH-470 Space Heater Review

When I was asked to review this product, it couldn't have come at a better time! My family and I just recently moved the Oklahoma, and when we got here it was so cold that it SNOWED! We moved into our home, and quickly realized we had forgotten to turn the gas on. Therefore we had NO heat in our home! Thankfully I was given the chance to review the New Air AH-470Space Heater, which works great and did the job!

I will say it is packed well so that there is no damage done to it when it is shipped to you. I opened the box; it contained the space heater, a manual, a remote, and the parts to connect the wheels. Installation was super easy and took maybe 2 minutes tops to get the wheels on. Then I plugged it in, flipped on the switch and neon lights appeared.

I took out the handy little remote (which I think is great addition) and pressed the power button. The heater beeped, I adjusted the temperature which needed to be high because our home was freezing due to no heater yet. I want to add that I hate heaters that make loud noises, my husband for some crazy reason prefers them because he said,  “if I can hear it I know it’s working.” I about busted out laughing because that is just crazy! The New Air AH-470 SpaceHeater is quiet, just how I like it, and you can feel the heat coming from all directions. I don’t want to spend money on a heater that is just going to come out one direction, if I wanted that I would just use a blow dryer. LOL! 

Let’s talk about the features…

It has an 18-hour adjustable timer, it’s made for a Small to Medium room size (so perfect for your personal bedroom or bathroom) because no one like freezing cold toilet seats! It has 120 volts and 1500 watts, with 2 heat settings, no one wants to have to work with a computer and a hundred options when your just trying to get warm. It heats a room at 30 minutes per cubic foot, which is great because you don’t want to get your room too hot too fast, make it comfortable. The body design comes in an accommodating Black with a metal finish, so it will fit in any décor really if that is something you worry about when purchasing a space heater. The New Air AH-470 is what’s called a Micathermic space heater; this means the heating element is covered in thin sheets of Mica, and can produce radiating or convection heat. 

I was very happy with this Space Heater; it really did exactly what I needed to do. Don’t think for a second I didn’t give me husband a hard time for not turning on the gas, but we were kept warm and cozy in our room by the New Air heater. I would defiantly recommend it!

The only thing I would have to have a complaint about it (more of a suggestion) is that for homes with small children it’s hard to not see a small child trying to touch it, and while it’s not the companies reasonability to teach our kids not to touch, I would look for a design that would be child friendly.
